Peter and Debbie Bosworth, because of their personal encounters with the life-changing power of God, bring to the ministry of Abundant Life Church a genuine desire to bring the message of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. In April 1978 Peter became a born again construction worker who committed his life to following the Jewish Carpenter, Jesus Christ, who is savior and Lord. Having had a background of church affiliation as the son of a United Church of Christ pastor, Peter found that a personal relationship with God, the Father and Jesus Christ, His Son, was vastly different and more exciting than any “religious” experience of his past.  Upon realizing God’s calling to preach the word, Peter attended and graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, with a Bachelors Degree in Pastoral Ministry.   He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

Debbie came to the Lord 6 months before her mother died from cancer. Two weeks before she died, her mother asked Debbie to get someone to pray with her to receive Jesus Christ as her personal savoir.  When her mother died it left her legally an orphan as her father had abandoned the family when she was young.  The pastor of the church she and her sister were attending ended up adopting Debbie and her sister Tina at the ages of 16 and 15.  Debbie also felt the call to ministry and attended Central Bible College.  Peter and Debbie were married June 5, 1981 and now have two beautiful daughters, Bethany, who attends Central Bible College and Sarah who attends Lawrence North High School. As a family they have been in ministry for over 20 years.  They planted a church in Peoria, IL and were pastors there from 1984- 1999 and have been the pastors of Abundant Life Church from February 2, 1999 to present.  We are thrilled to be the pastors of this great church as together we labor together with Him.  We know the Lord places the lonely in families because that is what He has done for us!  He has given us help for today and hope for tomorrow.  Our hope is that the Lord will use us to bring the message of hope in Jesus Christ Abundant Life to all we are privileged to meet.
